Comparing Playing on Xbox VS PC

Let's talk...Overwatch.  I absolutely LOVE playing this fucking game.  I've mainly been an Xbox user because both me and my husband can play together.  His Xbox is my home Xbox, so I use that while he uses mine.  To put it simply we game share.

Overwatch isn't a game for everyone but for me I really enjoy it...FOR THE MOST PART.  I won't get into it but competitive matches grind my fucking gears.  I'm just going to focus on the switch I made from Xbox to PC when it comes to the differences between the two.  Now by no means have I stopped playing it on Xbox but I do thoroughly enjoy playing on the PC more as of right now.

When I hop on Xbox it becomes a toxic mess.  Though, in my personal opinion I think it's more convenient for people to just pick up a controller as compared to turning on their computer and sitting at a desk using mouse and keyboard.  Chillin' on the couch is simpler when it comes down to it.   Granted for some people PC is more convenient when choosing what to play Overwatch on and I can easily point out why.

First thing to compare, the chat functions.  You're more likely to get a team of people who will communicate on PC rather than Xbox.  You pretty much have to go through flaming hoops just to switch over to game chat.  This opinion will be under the assumption that you don't have auto join enabled for game chat(or it's messed up for you like it has for me and others recently).

If you miss the time to switch over while you're picking your character you don't just have a mouse to click to where you need to go and sometimes you feel like you're scrambling more to get there on Xbox.  Honestly, I could just be clumsy with the controller but it feels like a battle just to get to game chat when I fuck up with the buttons I need to press.  Also, if you're partied up with people and using the party chat function on Xbox then it's basically the same thing.  Plus, most people just decide to STAY in their party chat since they figure other people won't have mics and aren't willing to talk even if they do.  So a lot of people are discouraged to chat in game anyway.  Especially at the lower tiers rank wise and also casual gamers.

When it comes down to it PC goers also have another function: Typing in chat.  Even if someone lacks a mic they can communicate with not only their WHOLE TEAM but the other team if they choose to.  If you want to type something out to the whole team on Xbox, you can't fucking do that quickly.  Again, it comes back to going through a fucking complicated cycle just to communicate on a system that you'd think would make it easy.  That's probably the worst thing I'll talk about of these comparisons to be honest.

Now let's jump into aiming.  PC is definitely superior.  You can have basically zero skill when it comes to aiming and you can at least do better on PC than on console.  Most people get this concept.  If you've been rocking a controller your whole life you probably prefer it BUT are able to do both.  A lot of people will go and get controllers that they can customize (either if they're a serious gamer or one who wants to flex with the best) for better control when aiming.  Like adding KontrolFreeks to the analogs or buying a Scuf controller(not sponsored).  My experience with aiming is basically it's better for me to use a mouse than a controller, but that doesn't stop me from still trying my all to have that sweet sweet accuracy on point.

PC ACCURACY

 XBOX ACCURACY

Yeah I know what you're thinking.  6% isn't that much.  It's a hell of a big difference guys.  That means my aim on PC is significantly better than on Xbox.  I'll be honest I change the way I play based off of this.  I play more shot gun and locking on characters on Xbox and more Sniping characters on PC, it's just come down to that.  That's not a bad thing though, sometimes you have to realize what you should play that's more beneficial on a different platform.

Alright let's close this out.  Those were the main two differences I've seen so far since transitioning from Xbox to PC on Overwatch.  I'll most likely get more in-depth about the other things that either peeve, concern, or restore my faith with the community, ranking system, and so on and so forth for Overwatch so stay tuned!
